ForgePoint is compatible with any Global A GM Vehicle. As a good rule of thumb, any between 2009 to 2018. Brands include Chevrolet, GMC, Buick, Cadillac, Opel and Vauxhall. We support modules such as BCM, ECM, IPC, Radio, PDC, HVAC, EBCM, HMI and more on their way. Not sure if your car is supported? Send us an email.
ForgePoint was extensively tested with the MDI 1, MDI 2 and the VXDiag VCX Nano. However, any J2534 Device with GMLAN support should work. We recommend using a quality interface to ensure reliable connections and successful programming sessions. We would love to hear about your experience with other devices, so let us know!
ForgePoint has been tested extensively on the bench and on the road by us and our partners. ForgePoint also follows strict safety protocols and the same procedures as OEM GM Tools. However, as with any software that interacts with vehicle modules, there is always a risk. We recommend using ForgePoint with caution and ensuring you have the necessary knowledge and experience before attempting any programming or diagnostics.
ForgePoint can unlock a variety of hidden features in your vehicle¹. For example, for the Instrument Cluster, there are over 40 available features to be turned on which are not turned on from factory.

ForgePoint is currently in Open Alpha. You can download the latest version for Windows from our download page. We are continuously working to polish, introduce more features and bring the app to a Stable release.
